SIC will revisit the investigation as part of its new documentary series Portugal Criminal, which premieres on Sunday evenings and explores some of the country's most high-profile crimes.

The episode, titled Sob Suspeita – Kate McCann, will be shown immediately after the main programme and revisits the investigation that drew worldwide attention to the Algarve in 2007. The documentary examines the different stages of the case and the theories that emerged over the years.

New series
