The three entities have joined forces "to mark this event with an unprecedented 3D drone show, projected next to the bridge, from the south bank of the Tagus, in the Cristo Rei area, and visible from the Docas area, in Lisbon," they announced today in a statement.

The initiative will be attended by the Minister of Infrastructure, Miguel Pinto Luz, and will take place at midnight on Thursday, 6 August, the day in 1966 when the bridge that transformed mobility between the two banks of the Tagus River, linking Lisbon to Almada (Setúbal district), was inaugurated, and which became "one of the most recognized images of Portugal in the world".

"With around 500 drones, the spectacle will draw a journey through time in the sky, evoking the construction, evolution and decisive role of the 25 April Bridge in the lives of millions of Portuguese people," they said in the same note.

For Infraestruturas de Portugal, Lusoponte and Fertagus, "this joint celebration represents the recognition of the role that 25 April Bridge continues to play in the economic, social and urban life of the country", remaining as "a strategic infrastructure, but also as a place of shared memory and identity".
