The Portuguese priest, Guilherme Peixoto, ranks 79th on the 2026 list, the only Portuguese name on the 100 best DJs in the world. Father Guilherme thus managed to stay ahead of internationally recognised artists such as The Chainsmokers, who occupy 89th place on the list.

The DJ reportedly reacted on social media, thanking those who voted for him and highlighting the support he has received throughout his artistic career and his connection with the public.

In the same post, Father Guilherme said his main objective is to turn his project into a foundation that uses its profits to bring electronic music to places and communities without the financial capacity to receive his initiatives.

Father Guilherme performed at World Youth Day in Lisbon, where Pope Francis blessed his headphones. The DJ has already performed on international stages, including Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Austria, Romania, and Poland.

Best DJs in the world

The rankings are determined by public voting in DJ Mag magazine. In 2026, the public again ranked David Guetta as the best DJ in the world, followed by Martin Garrix and Anyma.
