E-Redes has scheduled several temporary power outages from Wednesday, 14 October, to Friday, 16 October, as part of maintenance and improvement work on the distribution network, Executive Digest reports.

The interventions will cover different locations in mainland Portugal, including Lisbon, Vila Franca de Xira, Oeiras, Coruche and Santarém.

The power cuts are scheduled for specific periods, which can last up to three consecutive hours, depending on the area affected.

Precautions

During repairs, electrical installations should always be considered live, even if the power supply is temporarily interrupted, Executive Digest reports.

This is due to the fact that electricity can be restored at any time, including before the initially scheduled time, without prior notice.

For safety reasons, no repairs or maintenance should be carried out on electrical installations under the assumption that the power is switched off.

Consumers who rely on essential electrical equipment should prepare suitable alternatives and monitor any updates to the schedules published by E-Redes.

Lisbon — Campo de Ourique

Between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, service disruptions are expected in the following postal codes:

1250-087, 1350-034, 1350-073, 1350-075, 1350-080, 1350-225, 1350-314 and 1350-318.

Vila Franca de Xira — Póvoa de Santa Iria and Forte da Casa

From 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the work covers the following postal codes:

2625-219 and 2625-220.

Between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM, the intervention extends to the following postal codes:

2625-104, 2625-105, 2625-109, 2625-110, 2625-140, 2625-142, 2625-144, 2625-145 and 2625-159.

Coruche — Biscayan

The power outage is scheduled between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, in the following postal codes:

2100-050 and 2100-651.

Thursday: Oeiras and Santarém

Oeiras — Algés, Linda-a-Velha and Cruz Quebrada-Dafundo

Two phases of intervention are planned, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM and between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

1495-062, 1495-076, 1495-085, 1495-086, 1495-109, 1495-113, 1495-115, 1495-117, 1495-118 and 1495-144.

Therefore, consumers in these areas should expect possible interruptions between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

The supply may be interrupted between 09:00 and 11:00 in the following postal codes:

Friday: Alverca do Ribatejo and Sobralinho

Vila Franca de Xira — Alverca do Ribatejo and Sobralinho

The first intervention is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, covering the following postal codes:

2615-007, 2615-036 and 2615-153.

The second one will take place between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM, in the following postal codes:

2615-281, 2615-309, 2615-316, 2615-324 and 2615-328.
