Running from September 2025 to March 2026, the festival reinforces its commitment to provide access and unite art, territory, and community through unique performances, creative workshops, and immersive experiences.
The event will take place in the Algarve from September 1 to 14, 2025, returning to the region from March 21 to 29, 2026, with a programme in Funchal from February 23 to 28, 2026. This eighth edition brings a transdisciplinary programme to loulé, Tavira, and Funchal, promising to leave a lasting impression on all participants. With an approach that values contemplation, listening to the body, and the “slow life”, the festival creates unique meeting points between art, heritage and community.
CORPO DE HOJE stands as a singular event in the Portuguese cultural landscape, weaving deep connections between the Algarve’s coast, countryside, and mountains and the unique landscape of Madeira.
The expansion to Madeira marks a historic moment for the festival, bringing the Algarve’s rich Cultural Heritage to Funchal with the piece “língua destravada” (Unleashed Tongue), alongside urban performances such as the always surprising “random stages (or the urgency of moving (my)self out there)” by ananeto, which transform streets and backyards into living artistic stages.
This is a festival to be lived and experienced with the body and the senses, transforming not only the spaces it occupies but also how participants inhabit the world and relate to art, fostering both individual and collective reflection.
The full programme and registration are available at www.corpodehoje.pt. This initiative is co-produced by Cine-Teatro Louletano and the Municipality of Loulé, with support from DGArtes, the Municipalities of Loulé, Tavira, and Funchal, Kozii, and media partners Antena 2, Rádio Rua, and Rádio Total.
