With this victory, and after Benfica's triumph in their visit to Sporting (2-1), FC Porto leads the First League with 79 points, seven more than the 'reds' and eight more than the 'lions', who have one game less, with only four rounds remaining.

Tondela, who haven't won in six games, are in 17th and second-to-last place, in the direct relegation zone, with 21 points, five behind Casa Pia, who are 16th and in the relegation play-off spot, with both teams having one game less.
