This match will be the last group-stage game played on national soil, with the Portuguese team, now coached by Jorge Jesus, closing the group stage three days later with an away game against Wales.

The match between the Portuguese team, which won the last edition of the Nations League in 2025, and the Danes, scheduled for 14 November, a Saturday, at 7:45 pm, marks Portugal's return to the Municipal Stadium of Braga, four years after their last challenge.

“In the history of matches played at the Braga venue, one game stands out: a victory precisely against Denmark, 1-0, with a goal by João Moutinho. It was October 2015, and in that match, Portugal qualified for another final stage in its history: the 2016 European Championship,” says the FPF, recalling that the team ended up winning the European Championship in France.

Portugal's debut in defending the title, which it also won in 2019, will take place at the José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon against Wales on 24 September at 7:45 pm, in the first round of Group A4.

After the first game under new coach Jorge Jesus, who replaced Spaniard Roberto Martínez after the 2026 World Cup, Portugal travels to Norway for a game scheduled for 27 September.
