Researchers say the structure has reduced time spent in residential areas and lowered complaints from residents. The project is being highlighted as a potential model for human-wildlife coexistence.

Built by the Langur Project Penang after months of research and community consultation, the bridge allows the langurs to access more habitat while avoiding dangerous road crossings. Malaysian officials are now studying whether similar structures could be used elsewhere, as conservationists promote coexistence measures over trapping, relocation or culling.
