These figures were released by ARAC (National Association of Vehicle Rental Companies), which views this performance as reflecting companies' investment capacity and the sector's status as essential mobility infrastructure with a broad impact on the national economy.

According to statistical data shared by the association, the automotive market registered 29,600 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in June, representing a 14.6% year-on-year increase.

Within this context, car rental companies played a pivotal role, absorbing 10,186 new passenger vehicles. This volume represents an increase of approximately 25% compared to the 8,154 vehicles acquired by the sector in June 2025.

In a statement, ARAC highlights that the car rental sector has moved beyond merely supporting tourism; it is now crucial for the stability of automotive production, importation, and distribution.

Furthermore, it accelerates the renewal and environmental transition of the vehicle fleet by introducing electrified, safer vehicles.

However, the association emphasises that the size and modernity of this summer's peak fleet remain critical factors for the competitiveness of national tourist destinations, the smooth flow of airport traffic, and the geographic distribution of visitors, meeting a demand that currently spans tourists, businesses, residents, and public authorities alike.
