Organised by CountingStars, a project specialising in astronomy-based tourism and activities, the initiative, titled “UMBRA: A Journey from the Sun to the Stars,” combines the observation of one of the year’s major meteor showers with the viewing of a historic solar eclipse.

The chosen location sits at an altitude of 947 metres, offering prime conditions and an unobstructed panoramic view to watch the changing sky from late afternoon through to the early hours of the morning.

The program kicks off at 4:30 pm with participant registration, followed by a yoga and meditation session at 5:30 pm.

The afternoon’s highlight takes place at 7 pm, the scheduled time to view the solar eclipse, a rare phenomenon that will not recur with these specific characteristics until the year 2144.

After the eclipse, the event continues with a picnic and a musical performance by the Intempus Quartet. Starting at 10:30 pm, visitors will take part in the “Sky Laser Tour” and observe the Perseid meteor shower, with the experience extending until midnight.

Event coverage and operational details were released by the publication NiT, which also outlined the ticket pricing structure. Individual admission costs €39, with a couple’s package available for 72 euros and tickets for children aged six to €12 priced at €25. Registration to secure a spot at the event is available online.
