This small park serves as an important social gathering place for the community. As is usual, this park is dedicated to great people, and it is named after José Joaquim de Sena Freitas, a famous Azorean priest, writer, and public speaker from the 19th century.

The garden has a lot of botanical diversity, featuring a mix of native and exotic species. Visitors can relax under the trees, read, and go for long walks admiring the natural beauties of this island. Beyond the pretty flowers, the garden reminds us to slow down.
