Charity Dinner to Raise Funds for Associação Lighthouse Global’s Educational Projects

The evening offers guests an all-you-can-eat buffet and free-flow drinks for €30 per person, while supporting educational projects for children and young people.

“Good Food. Bigger Impact.” is the message behind the event, bringing people together for an enjoyable evening while raising awareness and funds for a cause working to improve educational opportunities for children and young people facing difficult circumstances.

Supporting Children Through Education

Associação Lighthouse Global is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to illuminate lives through education and service. Its work provides social and educational support to children and young people from families facing challenging circumstances.

In Portugal, Lighthouse runs projects that help young people succeed at school, develop personal and life skills, and have greater opportunities for their future.

The organisation’s vision includes creating supportive study centres where children and young people can receive educational assistance alongside leisure activities and opportunities to develop practical and life skills. Lighthouse also aims to help prevent school dropout and promote equality of opportunity.

One of its initiatives is the Lighthouse Youth Centre in Portimão, which provides study support for students in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles and encourages young people to develop skills for adult life. Its “Jovens & Mentores” programme also connects young volunteers with younger students, creating opportunities for learning, mentoring and personal development.

The project is largely powered by volunteers and community support, with funds raised through initiatives such as its charity shop, fundraising events and donations.
