For several families considering relocating abroad, the question of where to live is no longer separate from how to manage their money. The two are closely entwined.

A move abroad is complex, covering tax residency, banking, investments, school options, security, and future planning. Although these factors often run in parallel, decisions are usually addressed one at a time.

An immigration lawyer handles the visa, a tax advisor manages your tax affairs, and a private bank manages the assets. There’s often little or no contact between them.

This gap is the starting point for the Wealth and Migration Summit. It brings together perspectives across citizenship, residency, wealth planning, and more to explore the questions that really matter about where to live, invest, manage wealth, and plan your family’s future.

Wealth and Migration is Changing

The opening day explores "the new geography of wealth and mobility". Sessions include looking at the future of global mobility in 2026 and beyond, examining where wealth is moving, the new hubs attracting it, and what that means practically for individuals.

Global Citizen Solutions has organised the Summit at the EPIC SANA Marquês Hotel in Lisbon. Journalist Hadley Gamble will be hosting the event, with leading authorities from the industry taking part, including H.E. Calvin St. Juste (Executive Chairman, St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit), Patricia Casaburi, Founder and CEO of Global Citizen Solutions, and Bruno L’ecuyer (Co-founder of the Investment Migration Council).

H.E. Calvin St. Juste, Executive Chairman of the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit, brings the view from government. St Kitts and Nevis runs one of the longest-established citizenship by investment programmes in the world, with the Caribbean program transitioning from pioneer to benchmark. Hearing directly from the authority that runs a programme gives attendees a rare insight into how governments see the trends shaping the sector.

Patricia Casaburi, Founder and CEO of Global Citizen Solutions (GCS), leads the advisory firm that has spent ten years advising international clients on residency and citizenship. Its team now numbers over 100 professionals across legal, immigration, and advisory work and works with more than 50 citizenship and residency programmes. She’s seen how client priorities have shifted over time, from a single visa application to a broader plan for the whole family.

Bruno L’ecuyer, Co-founder of the Investment Migration Council, brings the perspective of the industry's professional association. The Council plays a central role in debates over standards, due diligence, and the reputation of residence and citizenship by investment. For attendees, he offers frank views of where the sector is heading and how it is responding to scrutiny.

They will be joined by senior figures from Citigroup Private Bank, Julius Baer, EFG, and Banco Atlântico Europa.

Why Lisbon?

Lisbon has become the place where the world comes to rethink its future. In a few short years, the city has drawn founders, families and investors from every continent, and the week of the Summit proves the point: Web Summit arrives just days later. Portugal also sits at the heart of the residency debate, from its Golden Visa to the new IFICI tax regime.

Fewer people, better conversations

The Summit is deliberately small. With only 200 attendees, the specialists on stage are the same people you can talk to over lunch. Country workshops go deep on each destination, and every session is in English.

You don’t need to work in the industry or have a move planned. If you are weighing international residency, a second citizenship, or cross-border wealth planning for yourself, your family, or your clients, the Summit is for you.

CNN Portugal is the media partner, and executives from BlueCrow Capital, C2 Capital, and many other firms will be there.
