The event will take place at The Warehouse – Zona Industrial do Pateiro, Ponte Charuto, on Saturday, 19 December, from 10am to 6pm, with free entry and all proceeds going to the soup kitchen’s work.

According to the organisers, the fair will feature at least 25 stalls selling a range of goods, giving visitors a chance to do some Christmas shopping while supporting a local cause. Food and drinks will also be available throughout the day, alongside music and various entertainment activities.

For families, there will be a programme of activities for children where they can play games and meet Santa Claus, though they may have another festive character to keep an eye on.

Organisers warned that the Grinch could make an appearance and encouraged children to help protect the Christmas spirit.

In addition to the stalls, the entertainment includes laser tag, air hockey, pool and driving video games. Once the fair draws to a close, the celebrations will continue with a Christmas movie night.

For charity

Behind the festive programme is the work of Portimão Soup Kitchen, whose volunteers prepare and distribute meals three times a week, which depends entirely on donations and the time volunteers give to reach people in need.

This December event aims to provide practical financial support for the kitchen while bringing the local community together during the Christmas period.

Residents and visitors are welcome to attend, whether to browse the stalls, enjoy the family activities or simply spend the day supporting the initiative.
