The districts of Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under the warning between 6pm on Tuesday and 3am on Wednesday.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has also placed the districts of Évora, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre under a yellow warning until 9pm today due to the hot weather, with persistent high maximum temperatures.

Also, due to the hot weather, the IPMA has issued a yellow warning for Bragança, Guarda and Vila Real, between 12:00 today and 21:00 on Tuesday.
