The collaboration has resulted in the launch of “Authentic” biscuits, created by the chef and produced daily by the café's team.
The chef, known for his connection to the community and his honest cuisine, accepted the challenge of working alongside OneBean's employees—young people and adults with intellectual disabilities who develop real professional skills at the café. During several practical sessions, he taught techniques, adjusted recipes, and prepared the group to launch the new product.
The “Authentic” biscuits can now be tasted at OneBean: thin, crispy, and with a distinctive flavour, they quickly won over those who attended the launch event, which filled the space with neighbours, partners, and friends of the project.
For Ricardo Luz, this collaboration “represents what gastronomy should be: human, approachable, and meaningful.” For the communities of Ferreiras and Albufeira, it's yet another sign that OneBean is establishing itself as a meeting point where gastronomy, inclusion, and local identity go hand in hand.
The café remains open daily (weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm) with its usual offerings—artisanal toasts, homemade brownies, freshly prepared drinks—and now also with the “Authentic” biscuits, which promise to become a new local classic.
