It’s hard to believe many of the pieces are actually cakes. Every display is different, and there is always another small detail to notice.

This year's exhibition, "Welcome to the Jungle", features plenty of animals and tropical-inspired creations, but that's not all. Fans of films will also recognise familiar characters, including E.T., Venom and figures inspired by the Star Wars universe. The mix of wildlife, fantasy and cinema makes the exhibition enjoyable for both children and adults.

Ana Remígio, who is based in Lagoa, has become one of Portugal's best-known cake artists. Over the years, she has received several international awards and has taught cake decorating workshops in Portugal and abroad, helping other decorators develop their skills.
