The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) states that these districts will then move to a yellow warning until 4 pm today.

The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Leiria and Castelo Branco are also under a yellow warning until 4 pm today due to rain, with accumulation between 10 and 20 millimetres in one hour, hail with a diameter of less than two centimetres and gusts between 70 and 90 kilometres per hour.

Yellow weather warning

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) placed 11 districts under a yellow warning on 27 August due to rain, which will be locally heavy, hail, thunderstorms and strong winds. The IPMA (Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere) reveals that the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Porto, Aveiro, Leiria, and Coimbra will be under a yellow warning until 3 pm due to the forecast of periods of rain or showers, sometimes heavy, occasionally in the form of hail.

The same 11 districts will also be under a yellow warning due to conditions favourable for the occurrence of localised meteorological phenomena, such as thunderstorms, locally heavy precipitation, with accumulations between 10 and 20 millimetres in one hour, hail with a diameter of less than two centimetres, and wind gusts between 70 and 90 kilometres per hour.
