For the first four games of the 2026/27 edition of the Nations League, Jesus called up 25 players, only four of whom were not in the final phase of the 2026 World Cup.

Conversely, goalkeeper José Sá, defenders Nélson Semedo and Matheus Nunes, midfielder Samu Costa and forward Gonçalo Guedes were dropped from the 26 selected for the last World Cup.

Next on the list is 'captain' Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, who has 233 games and 146 goals for Portugal, which he first represented on 20 August 2003.
