"easyJet crew members voted today [17 September] in a general assembly to resort to a strike for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 October and 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December," said an official source, indicating that for 2 to 6 October, it is estimated that around 500 scheduled flights from the Porto, Lisbon and Faro bases will be affected.

Minimum services will be "negotiated later," the source added.

As for the days in December, the same source said that "it is not yet possible to know" the impact, but that "it is expected that the number will be much higher," as it is "the Christmas season where the number of flights is always reinforced by the increase in demand."

easyJet cabin crew held an emergency general meeting to review the company's working situation and decide on measures, with the SNPVAC union previously admitting that "all options" were on the table.
