Like the previous edition, which brought together over 280 participants, 81 companies, and 50 educational institutions, this event aims to bridge the gap between the business and academic sectors at the start of the academic year. The initiative brings together professionals in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Employer Branding, along with career services, associations, and student groups, to coordinate upcoming job fairs and strategies for attracting young talent.

This year's programme includes the "Job Fair of Job Fairs", a format in which universities and polytechnics make cooperation proposals directly to companies, along with two panel sessions on recruitment best practices and networking events. Beyond the in-person element, the event also provides a platform to publish data from Talent Portugal's "Great Employers" community—made up of about 200 companies—on recent developments in the labour market.

The organisers said 34% of companies now have academic theses (up from 22% in 2021), and 77% still regard professional internships as a key way to integrate candidates with no previous experience.

The survey also shows changes in recruitment trends and the working conditions being offered. Currently, engineering and industry are the most popular areas for hiring among 63% of organisations, surpassing information technology, which has fallen to 61% after leading the market for many years.

With regard to working arrangements, 64% of companies now offer the possibility of working from home and 57% give flexible schedules; there is also an increasing demand for particular language skills, for example German (which appears in 12% of job advertisements), as well as a widespread need for proficiency in English (86%).
